*My family doesn't eat alot of meat. When they do (I'm a vegan) I only serve organic or meat from animals raised without GMO's and are grass. I strongly believe that in order to be healthy, we need to eat foods that are healthy.
I served this with fresh drop biscuits. Perfect on a cold night!
Next crock pot concoction: Split Pea and Ham soup. I must really love my husband!
I read your blog before volunteering this morning and had just enough time to run to get the ingredients for this simple, economical soup! Thanks for sharing - and giving me tips to make a girl (a little) less frazzled. Happy day!
ReplyDeleteI must admit to you, I was getting ready to go to an appointment. I thought how great an idea I had to start the soup earlier and set it on low. I got all the ingredients in the pot and was out the door. Came home and wondered, where's the aroma? I was convinced my 13 year old crock pot had finally crapped out. NO, it was that I FORGOT to plug the bloody thing in!! Some days, not even a crock pot can save me! Sigh....
