Fall is here....welcome!

It was a beautiful day here in Southern, NH!  Bright sunshine, not a cloud in the sky and a cool breeze.  Yes, Fall is here.  I for one LOVE fall.  It brings with it such comfort to me.  The new colors in the trees, extra blanket on the bed, and let's not forget the comfort food and smells!

One of the first fall foods I think of are apples!  Apple picking is a favorite past time of our family.  The kids love running through the orchard; eating the first juicy apple plucked from the tree.  Mmmm...perfection!

So what's a mama to do with so many apples?  Make applesauce of course!

Apples, lemon juice, water and cinnamon....that's all you need to make a delicious treat!  You can find this recipe here:neo homesteading

Of course, we MUST can such deliciousness so we can enjoy it in the cold of winter.  This recipe will give you 5-7 1/2 pint jars!

I hope you too are enjoying these first few days of Fall!
